How you structure your cribbage tournament is totally up to you and your group, but I would suggest keeping it simple especially for larger groups so that you don’t have to spend all your time settling “disputes”. You can do “best of three” matches at each stage of the tournament. There are all sorts of complexity you can add like “double elimination” in which there is a loser’s bracket so that you have to lose twice to get knocked out. Those 8 winners compete leaving 4 winners and then two and finally you have a champion from that side of the bracket who faces the champion from the other side of the bracket. First round, 8 games take place leaving 8 winners. There will be 16 players on each side of the bracket. For example, I have 32 buddies that want to play. Split the group of players into two sides of the bracket and pair people up.
